A Rose by Any Other Middle Name

What's in a name? (AP/Charles Dharapak)

The Israeli daily newspaper Haaretz is not a bastion of neo-conservative — or even traditional conservative thought.  But, even they must be laughing at their report of the latest example of Obamaspeak.

President Obama sat for an interview with Channel 2 news.  He stated that some of the anxeity Israelis feel about his policies have a rather superficial origin.

…some of it may just be the fact that my middle name is Hussein, and that creates suspicion.

Seriously? It couldn’t be that you’re playing footsie with armed groups that want to eradicate the nation and it’s people, Mr. President?

Naah.  They’re no different from the troglodytes in the US that reject the president’s liberal agenda because he is of mixed race.  A prophet is never appreciated in his own land.  Or, in Mr. Obama’s case, in most other lands either.

Once again, it’s all about him, isn’t it?

Note to Hollywood director Spike Jonze: Start working on a new movie, “Being Barack Hussein Obama”.  Someday we all need to know what was going on in that brain of his.

The Haaretz article also states that President Obama doesn’t think Israel will attack Iranian nuclear installations without telling him first.

Wanna bet? My guess is Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is one of those anxious Israelis.
